At a gala awards banquet held February 22 at the Hilton Anatole, the Blue Cross office campus project won the Dallas Business Journal’s prestigious overall “Best Real Estate Deal” award for 2006. Along with previous “Best Deal” winner Countrywide Financial in 2004, Richardson has been honored in two of the past three years. 2006 Citizen of the Year Named - Richard Ferrara
Richard Ferrara was pleasantly surprised at the Annual Banquet, when Frank and Geraldine Leftwich, 2005 Citizens of the Year, announced that he was to be crowned Richardson's 2006 Citizen of the Year. Mr. and Mrs. Leftwich described the many accomplishments of this outstanding citizen. This included the design of over 80 Richardson buildings. The program highlighted Ferrara's inspirational conduits including model trains, disciplined education and cruise vacations. Richardson Young Professionals Raring To Go
Richardson Young Professionals, or RYP, is a professional development program aimed at an emerging group of up and coming leaders committed to personal growth and career advancement while serving the Richardson community. These young professionals live and/or work in the Richardson area. The program consists of monthly afterhour events, quarterly breakfast series, and community service projects.
