RCC Annual Banquet Provides Occasion to Reflect on 2006 Community Achievements, Build Excitement for 2007

Rich TempletonThe Richardson Chamber of Commerce’s 50th annual banquet will offer more than an evening of socializing and networking.  Community leaders, business innovators and citizens will come together to celebrate notable Richardson successes from 2006 and look forward to even more great strides in 2007.

During the dinner, keynote speaker Rich Templeton, president and CEO of Texas Instruments, will address the crowd.  The Chamber will also announce the 2006 Richardson Citizen of the Year, and 2006 Chairman of the Board Paul Voelker will pass the Chamber leadership gavel to 2007 Chairman of the Board Richard Ramey.  It all takes place on the evening of Tuesday, February 27, at the Renaissance Richardson Hotel.

RISD High School Juniors Learn What’s in Store for the Future

When it comes to making a decision about the future, high school juniors can easily become stressed and confused. For this reason, the Richardson Independent School District (RISD), with the help of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce’s Education Committee, created the RISD Career Summit. The event was held January 22nd at the Renaissance Hotel and Eisemann Center, and it allowed the juniors to become more familiar with the many different career fields and help them to better select a path for post-secondary education.
