Developers Announce Urban-Style Retail, Office, Apartment Project At Central And Campbell

The Eastside mixed-use development will be on the southeast corner of North Central Expressway and Campbell Road in Richardson.

RICHARDSON – More than 200,000 cars drive by the southeast corner of North Central Expressway and Campbell Road every day. Developers are planning to give them a reason to stop.

Three firms are teaming up to build a $90 million town center project at the busy intersection.

The Eastside development will contain an urban-style shopping center, more than 400 apartments and office space built around a two-acre park.

REDP Reports Strong Industrial Relocation, Expansion Numbers For 2005

The Richardson Economic Development Partnership, a joint effort of the Chamber and the City of Richardson, is pleased to report 35 significant industrial relocations, expansions and start-ups in 2005 which will create or retain more than 1,600 jobs and occupy 767,672 square feet of commercial space.

The most impactful of the 35 projects was the expansion of Fossil, Inc., the internationally renowned watch and accessories maker, which acquired the 131,541-square-foot three-story office building and surrounding land at Fall Creek. Fossil is experiencing rapid growth and will initially occupy the Fall Creek site with 200 employees while keeping its existing operations on Greenville Ave. The Fall Creek site will accommodate nearly 1 million square feet of office space for the company's long-term future growth.
