Commuter Rail

As part of the Dallas Area Rapid Transit's (DART) northern extension, four light rail stations were built in Richardson along the east side of Central Expressway:

  • Spring Valley Station
  • Arapaho Center Station
  • Galatyn Park Station
  • 190/Bush Turnpike Station

The four Richardson stations are strategically located for commuters working and residing in close proximity to the Telecom Corridor area.Feeder buses ensure commuters reach their destination safely.

Spring Valley Station

  • Spring Valley Station is located 1/4 mile east of Central Expressway (U.S. 75) between Sherman Street and Greenville Avenue.
  • Station provides 4 bus bays, 9 passenger drop-off parking spaces and approximately 400 long-term parking spaces.

Arapaho Center Station

  • Arapaho Center Station is located north of Arapaho Road, off Greenville Avenue, east of North Central Expressway (U.S. 75).
  • A pedestrian tunnel under Greenville Avenue connects the station to the transit center and parking area.
  • Station has 1,105 parking spaces, 12 bus bays and 12 drop-off parking spaces
  • Station is less than 1/2 mile south of Eastside, a newly opened mixed-use development of 450 apartments, 90,000 SF of retail and restaurants and office space

Galatyn Park Station

  • Located east of Central Expressway and south of Lookout Drive.
  • Walking distance to Countrywide(Bank of America), Nortel, Verizon and AT&T campuses as well as new luxury mid-rise apartment complex, The Venue
  • Drop-off only station (no parking) with bus transportation to area businesses
  • Adjacent to the transit plaza is the 330-room luxury Renaissance Hotel and the Charles W. Eisemann Center for Performing Arts, Richardson's acclaimed performance and conference facility.

190/Bush Turnpike Station

  • Located south of 190/Bush Turnpike, east Central Expressway
  • Extensive parking lot area under 190
  • Future DART plans include a connection at this station to the Cotton Belt Rail line which will take passengers to UTDallas, North Dallas and DFW Airport
